About the Robotics Repository project

Robotics Repository – digital sharing of scientific resources in the field of robotics – is a project developed by Łukasiewcz Research Network – Industrial Institute of Automation and Measurements PIAP. Based on the scientific, research and development studies, study reports, project descriptions, etc. collected by Łukasiewicz – PIAP, a unique and interactive knowledge base on robotics and related disciplines developed over five decades has been created.

The main idea behind the Robotics Repository is the wish to combine the past and the present while looking to the future. For this reason, the Repository not only collects archival achievements, but is also updated on an ongoing basis to include new studies and reports. Access to the resources of the Institute’s library, which contains numerous studies dedicated to such disciplines as robotics, mechatronics or Artificial Intelligence, is also an important element. The purpose of the repository is to ensure access to knowledge on the most recent technical achievements in the field of broadly understood automatics and robotics, and hence to contribute to the development of science and greater innovativeness of the Polish industry.

About Łukasiewicz – PIAP:

Łukasiewicz Research Network – Industrial Institute of Automation and Measurements PIAP is a research centre around which many robotics-driven activities focus. We have been developing our experience in this field for over 50 years. We are a manufacturer of Polish mobile, anti-terrorism and rehabilitation robots, and we also work on the automation and robotisation of production lines and factories, 3D printing and cosmic technologies. The structures created at the Institute have received numerous awards at fairs and exhibitions both in Poland and abroad. We conduct research as well as research and development works. We are the organiser of the ‘Młodzi Innowacyjni’ (‘Young Innovative People’) contest, AUTOMATICON International Automation and Measurements Fair and AUTOMATION Scientific and Technical Conference. We also issue journals dedicated to broadly understood automation and robotisation – the Pomiary Automatyka Robotyka (PAR) and the Journal of Automation, Mobile Robotics and Intelligent Systems (JAMRIS) quarterlies, as well as the Automatyka monthly. The Institute is based in Warsaw, with the research group of devices and drive control OBRUSN operating in Toruń. The Institute was established in 1965, and since April 2019, it has been a part of Łukasiewcz Research Network.
